The first game on my list is 140. It is beautiful simple platformer. It starts simple & just gets harder.
There is no HUD, no menu, & no explication of anything. Minimal at its best. It starts with vibrant title screen & the game starts when you press the spacebar. Then you get a white square on black & gray background. The square is you. When you move, it turns into a circle. & when you jump, it becomes a triangle. The controls & balance of the levels are a delight. Mixed with the amazing soundtrack, the game is just great.
I have 2.4 hours in this game according to steam. In that time, I beat the the first 2 levels & made it to the boss on the last level. Yep, only three levels in this game. Steam won’t give me the achievements for beating the first 2 levels. Sigh. The last boss got really hard & I might not go back & beat it. Thats right, I willing give up on games. But it was a fun 2.4 hours.
